Are you really wanting a 2nd gen ? For that price you could move on up to a 3rd gen if you look around.

i think its a very clean ride and nice. definitely cleaner and in better condition than mine (trail carnage)
 
I mean for the year its really lean and the miles are really nice. The 2nd gen has head gasket issues. You may want to look at the carfax too because the bumpers arent really lined up..Its extremely clean though.

Hahaha, I tried using shift on my brother's '95 4runner and let's just say we stopped practicing after 5 minutes. Ha :D

I loved my 95 but the 3rd gens are night and day better in comfort.

We're not haters of the 2nd gens-we are just lovers of the 3rds.

This is overpriced as already stated.

Mileage is decent for the years but if the engine has not already been rebuilt it will need one soon.

Step into a 96 or 97 for about the same money and mileage. Compare the V6s and the automatics. You will see what we are talking about.
 
thanks for the help guys... drove it,.. and i realized the difference betwen 2nd gen and 3rd... fun to drive, but not as a daily driver with 70 mile commute! ... oh, it was leaking oil so bad that when i got back it was smoking out the hood!... dealer acted as if he'd never noticed the oil leak... i pointed it out before i took it for a spin... motor needs love bad! anyway, still looking... and atleast i now know i want a 3rd for sure...
 
That is a clean 2nd gen...in and out.

Personally, having had both a 2nd gen and multiple 3rd gens, I'd never go back to a 2nd gen. 2nd gens are under powered and have less creature comforts compared to 3rds.

Drive that 2nd gen and then go drive a 3rd gen and compare the 2 for yourself. For that price range, you could probably find a decent 3rd gen.

Don't know if you ever driven a 3rd gen, but you'll definitely be surprised once you do.

found a 99' runner 4wd with 107k on it for 6900.... gonna go drive it today, looks really clean, is a one owner.... thoughts guys? lower price, little higher miles, but newer model... think i might bite on this one if all looks good...
