another XREAS question??

They make shocks with remote gas reserviors could these possibly work in conjunction with the Xreas system?

From what I understand one shock can barrow gas from the opposite corner. This is what a shock with a remote reservoir does basicly. Anyone think it would work?? Or is there somthing more to the Xreas system than gas being moved by pressure?

In the XREAS system the shocks are cross linked hydraulically. This means the two opposite corners oppose each other. A reservoir shock is independent of each other. Also if you wanted to put aftermarket shocks on you would have to remove the XREAS shocks. There is only room for one shock. Why would you want to add any shocks when the XREAS system works so well?

I got that. I was thinking of how to keep XREAS with a lift.. What I was trying to say was the remote reservoir shocks are similar, and if you were able to remove the reservoir, and tap the shock it's self into the XREAS system you'd be set to put larger shocks on. I was wondering if there was somthing else to the Xreas system besides the shocks just being able to barrow gas from the opposite corner?

Unfortunately the x-reas system is hydraulic not pneumatic. (liquid not gas) so this wouldn't work.

You must either remove X-reas for the lift, or rely totally on a body lift.

lifting a xreas system will mean being limited to spacer technology. sorry no way around it at the moment and not for A LONG time

either that or you can be the select few that has determined to just remove / scrap the xreas system.

I am planning on just scraping the Xreas system and getting new shocks and springs. Thanks for the feedback.
