The Sig Sauer P239 is my conceal carry. My Ruger SP101 is for my wife at home in the safe.
Ammo: Gold Dot 9mm for my Sig, and Federal Hydrashok 38 special for my Ruger.
Even though the Ruger is rated for 357 caliber, i chose 38 special so that my wife can handle it better (in case she needs to use it).
Here are my two guns:

The P226 and P229 are the best pistols I have fired. I love the accuracy and ergonomics of both and I think the balance is great. I went with the Elite because I wanted the wood grips and dovetail. My avatar was made with my P226 .40 cal from the 5 yard line. I have the most fun with my shotguns though. Nothing beats shooting moving targets imo so I always have a case or two of clay targets in my runner

Nice guns guys, I have a few myself. My favorites are my "homeland defender" edition of the Glock 19 and my most recent purchase - one of the new "tactical" editions of the Ruger Mini-14 (was on a waiting list for months to get it). I really would like to get a license and purchase a gun because its my right to do so. I am an NJ resident so I presume that is an almost impossible task.
Can you get a license in another state that you dont live in and "transfer" it to NJ?

It's not an impossible task by any means and local police stations are usually helpful in my experience. The bad thing with Jersey now is the pistol permit which is only good for 90 days and costs more money, and the potentially new 1 gun a month limit which d-bag Corzine is pushing for. This link is really helpful for guiding you through the process in Jersey http://www.njguns.com/laws.htmIf you want to buy a pistol right away, you can submit the firearms id application with the pistol permit application. One thing I can't stand about the process is that you have to include employer information and submit 2 references that are not related to you. I was pretty pissed off when my police station contacted my employer regarding my permit application. They told me this was not required by law but something the town did on their own initiative :headslap:

Sweet! I was thinking of getting a p229 for the lady because the p226r doesn't fit in her hands that well. I use winchester "white box ammo" mainly used for the range. I found these at the local walmart $20 for 100 pack. Got me 5 cases of these badboys

My wife shoots better then me so I usually throw out the silhouettes. I need to practice more :cannon:.

Still very hard to find any in the Atlanta area. WalMarts get small amounts in stock about once a week and it's gone in a couple hours.
Obama has stimulated some industries nicely. But how long can this ammo shortage last ? It's been months and months...

Yup, by far, the best bargain for ammo is at Walmart! I have 21 boxes of the "100s" at home. $20 for 100 rounds is almost unheard of during these times. My wife and I frequently go around the different Walmarts to look for these.

I have no issues finding shotgun shells and I can find some pretty good deals on them, the pistol and rifle ammo on the otherhand is insane. I can't find it in stock for a reasonable price anywhere. I guess it's easier to control the ammo than control the guns

Been 8 months since I've found any ammo but I got some tonight
got all they had: 3 boxes of wallyworld winchester white box .40 s&w qty 50 / box
drive out price with Atlanta, GA taxes was close to $55
no bargain
but it will keep my sig239 (single stack) happy for a while
