Suppose I can participate in this thread now. Just picked up a '17 Yamaha XSR 900. Way more comfortable and torquier than my '05 CBR 600RR was. Just a stock photo here since the guy I got it from did no mods whatsoever and barely rode it 1200 miles.
Very cool bike! My buddy has one and loves it!! Awesome choice!

They've already got the 60th anniversary edition for that.
I wasn't too picky as far as color went, since I got this bike for about $3k less than everyone else still asking MSRP for 2 year old leftovers. Mine just had the 1k mile service done and it still looks brand new, so I jumped on it.

Some rock garden riding on the Africa twin. That's a pretty rough road for a 500+ lb bike. We came across a newbie, riding alone, had dropped his F650.
So we helped him get out of there. All in all a great day. In about 2 weeks it will be the Dino Ride time. That's always a great time through rural North West Colorado.

Your right. It's very crowded here. Lots of newcomers who don't understand how over used and extremely fragile this area is. They can't wait to escape the disaster they made where they came from, and make this their next disaster.

Dino ride this last weekend
As in Dinosaur national Monument. Where Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming all come together. We were mostly in Dinosaur national monument and Browns Park areas. Some great camping and off road as well as slab in some pretty remote areas.(if there is any left in the lower 48). I think we had somewhere close to 50 riders. Lots of sand and rocks. Some deep gravel on the roads, and heat. As in REALLY HOT! mid 90's and less that 15% humidity. One dry camp, so we had to carry in all the water we would need. I have a 1 gallon roto pack, and used it wisely, as well as a camelback.
Dropped my new Africa twin 3 times. Twice while parked and getting on the bike. Man is that thing tall.
