Any Recommendation for Sliding Cargo Deck Liner?

After reading the helpful replies to my original post and further research on the web, I decided to go with the Canvasback Cargo Liners.

Here are some pictures (before, after, and after with the 2nd row seats back up). With the flash and shadows, the third picture shows the crease quite prominently but they actually look better/ok under natural light (see picture 2). At this point I would say I am 9/10 satisfied with the product. Will see if it holds up well and is easy to clean/maintain.

Looks awesome. I wish the made one that also covers the side panels. I feel they would get damaged more than carpet.

I ordered the OEM liner. It's not perfect, it slides and leaves the non-sliding part exposed, but I haven't been too upset with it.

Just received my 2015 TEP w KDSS and sliding cargo deck on 4th of July.

First thing was putting the WeatherTech liners on the first and second rows. However, WeatherTech does not have cargo liner for T4R with sliding cargo deck.

Any recommendations on a good all weather liner for those with the sliding cargo deck? I see that Husky has one, if you have it, do you like it? Thanks.

Toyota offers a OEM rubber mat for the sliding cargo tray...it is outlined to match the shape of the tray, but it really doesn't secure that well...you add some double-sided velcro and it should stick just fine.

I bought four rubber stair treads and cut the short lip off with whatever you call that saw you use to cut the trim of your doors so you can slide a piece of tile under it.

I've used canvas or "rubberized" tarps in my vehicle for years. I got them both for free from people were getting rid of them, but you could buy them if you went looking for them.

One tarp is thick plain white canvas that resists moisture and keeps the dirt off the carpeted floor. If the back seats are up I fold it a couple of times 'til it fits. If the seats are down I lay it out flat and tuck it over the front of the back seats.

The other tarp is a grey "rubberized" or coated tarp. It's completely waterproof for small spills and wet gear. I lay it down when I go scuba diving to keep the carpets dry.

Both tarps are bigger than the cargo area and so they'll fold up on the sides or tuck under as needed.

My new 4Runner is being built this week in Japan and I'll have it in a month or less. I've had these same tarps for as long as I've owned my Jeep GC (18+ years) and the tarps are still in decent condition. And my light tan carpets are clean and barely worn. I'm sure this is what I'll do when the fancy new ride arrives.

And who needs a $155 cargo cover? I use a matching colored blanket or sheet to cover my gear. It's very adaptable to whatever I may have inside and it keeps the sun off of my gear on trips.

I use a $19 blue moving quilt from Lowes or Costco the same way. Unfold it as necessary. Call me simpleton 2. :bravo:

Hey, Well installed it a few days ago. Very simple and great coverage. The back of the liner has strong Velcro and you just line it up. Very simple and couldn't be happier. I think you'll feel the same. Came with 6 pieces in case you were curious. Behind each seat back, 2 for the center back since it overlaps, center storage compartment and the cargo slider.

Nice! Looks like we have $19 solution (general tarp), $80+ solution (Genuine Toyota Accessory), $150+ solution (Canvasback Liners), and now the ultimate cargo liner that is $350 solution (but not sure from the pictures if it will work with sliding cargo tray).

I guess it is different strokes for different folks; there is no one perfect solution to protecting the cargo area.

The key is to enjoy the 4Runner and keep having fun driving it.:lmao:

Another vote for the Canvasback liners. Very good quality for the price. No complaints.

I cleaned mine and applied the heavy duty 3M velcro to the 4 corners and the adhesive didn't stick to the rubber liner at all. Any advice?

It's difficult to adhere regular tape to rubber. You will want to find double sided tape designed to stick to rubber, something like this:
