Any recommendations for mud flaps for 2103 TE?

Pitted. Any recommendations for mud flaps for 2103 TE? Please.

Went off the pavement first time yesterday. Did about 16 miles of driving on a dirt road--never went over 30 mph but mostly 10-15 mph. This morning when I washed the vehicle I noticed the black plastic rock guards at the bottom of the rear fender flares were already pitted. I'm thinking this happened because of the short front OEM mud flaps. Very disappointing to see on a one-month-old vehicle. So I want to install some that hang lower down and give more protection. I'd appreciate any recommendations you all may have.

I installed OEM mudflaps on my 13' SR5 last week, and they do an excellent job. They are a little wider and longer than yours....unfortunately I don't know of any flaps made to compliment the TE "partial" flaps. I think your best best is to try and fabricate flap extensions maybe? I'm thinking you may be able to cut pieces of rubber material to match the measurements of your flaps and drill small tap holes and utilize black screws to hold the extensions on...I know, not the best idea I'm sure, but one that will work but at what aesthetic cost?
 
Weird. I drive on lots of gravel roads doing around 80 km/h and never got anything that looks like that. My tires also stick out way more than yours do and I removed the bottom part of the front mudflaps. Only thing I can suggest is look into getting the Canadian OEM running boards or something similar.
 
Unless you get a clear bra or something the whole front end will look like that in a year or so...including your windshield.
I consider those earned, it's parking lot dings that kill me.
 
2013TE, did you end up getting a set of mud flaps? I would like to order some and was curious to see how they look on a TE.

I didn't get any yet. I called the local Toyota dealer several weeks ago to find out when parts would be available for the 2014 4R but he said no idea. I think the mudflaps are a little longer on the 2014 than the 2013 models. In any case, I might just buy a rubber universal mud flap and bolt it on to the existing mud flaps. Rubber is nice because it flexes going over rocks and obstacles.

Those natural black plastic pieces are that way so that when they get pitted, scratched, and ripped the f*&k off, they don't show as much as painted parts. I think I left my front mud flaps somewhere in Utah.

It would be nice if toyota used a little more durable plastic, so it wouldn't look like @ss after a few rock hits. There is noting wrong with wanting to keep your new vehicle looking good. Not everybody is such a hard core off-roader that the don't care if their fenders are messed up or ripped the f* off.

There are those who care, and those who don't. I am perfectly fine hosing the mud off once a week, using some off brand spray wax once every few months and moving on. If I get a scratch down to the metal I will touch it up.

If you take a vehicle off road it will get dinged and scratched. There are some here, and nothing wrong with it, that bought 4Runners that should have bought show cars.

Please show me a plastic (or a paint) that is tougher than the sharp end of a pebble going 40 mph.

I think Toyota needs to build a rubber coated car to appease to certain consumer groups, lol

Wow. What a unique way to be condescending. If you really mean it when you say there's "nothing wrong with it," why follow up with the snide remark about show cars?

And maybe to appease some customer groups Toyota should build pre-dented and rusted out vehicles, lol.
