Any sneakerheads here?

As the title states, any of you around? Always been one of my hobbies, ever since my first pair of Jordan IXs in 4th grade.

I've got more than I can count...surprisingly enough, my wife doesn't mind. She would rather me spend my money on shoes than coke and hookers!

What do you guys like? Collect? Want?

I'm trying to gather a few that I sold over the years. Anyone have a holy grail? Still have my Space Jams from 2001, no longer wearable, but still one of my all time faves.

What do you guys have?

When I was in 4th grade, so was Michael Jordan :)

I actually collect old beer stuff, most of which I find in the woods or in old, abandoned dumps:

Those are pretty cool. I work at a local university, and sometimes when we are remodeling buildings, we find old beer cans and liquor bottles from the old construction or maintenance guys.

That's how a lot of old cans are discovered, as it was common for construction workers to knock back a few on the job. You should keep your eyes open, as many can be worth quite a bit.

Here are a few more from my collection. Some are newer - from the 70's and fairly common among collectors, but I like the artwork.

But some are among the first beers to be packaged in cans, starting in the mid-30's. They can often end up in great shape. The one on the bottom is an "after" photo of a can in my previous post, after I cleaned the rust off with citric acid. I found it buried under a log, about a foot down near an old, abandoned cabin:

I garb something's here and there. 3s are my favorite. Followed by 6s. GRocked some older air max one retros the last two days. Have had them for a while. Ha be a few Jordan's still new in boxes. Always up for some Penny's. And of course my summer go to dunk lows and mids. Already have my 11 lows set up for the summer release. Sometimes get lucky and some pairs a few weeks early through a friend with a Jordan rep connection.

I have a pair of the Grey Toe 13's, and my dad has a pair of 10's from 1994 r 95. I love shoes and of course would like to have every pair, however, I can't bring myself to drop $200 on a pair of shoes once a week.

Those grey toe 13s are one of the most comfortable pairs I have. Crazy your dad has a pair from 95. My first pair were the 9s in '94. I picked up the all read 10s in Feb.

I hear ya about dropping $200 every week. I'm usually down for a pair every couple months. I don't like every pair that comes out. But on the other hand, I don't just stick with J's, so I'll pick up some others throughout the year.

I have couple pair of jodans :thumb: wish I had more though :) what size do you wear Millerad1651 ?

11-11.5 for the most part. It depends on the shoes.

Most of my collection is Jordans, but I've got some air maxes, Lebrons, Adidas...you name it.

I have 9-10 pair of Nike 6.0 SBs in a variety of colors I collected some years ago. They're super comfortable, but most everything I do now-a-days calls for my Red Wing boots.

Former sneakerhead head, I was cured in 2006 thankfully. From 2000-2005 I was addicted like a crack fiend. At my highschool pretty much was 40% Asian and 35% Black in the southend of Seattle, pretty where all hood type minorities are. The white kids were honors/AP types.

It was always about having the freshest J's. Luckily for our generation we had the first retro lineup besides the 1's.

While I was mostly into Jordan's I had a small collection of SB's, Foamposites, Air Trainers, etc. I don't follow the shoe game no more but I have no clue whats hot right now. Is Supreme, Huff, UNDFTD, Methamphibian, Bape, Niketalk, and Ben Baller still relevant?

Irish Setter Red Wings are where it's at man!
Wearing mine today...most comfortable boots I've owned. Even more so than the Red Wings I had before.

Ya, after the first round of retros, the quality was crap. I didn't go for Js too much during then. I just recently started picking some of the newer releases up. There's just some that are so bad looking though, and people flock to them and spend outrageous amounts of money on them. Plus re-sellers came in and increased all resale prices...it got pretty bad.

I don't stick to one brand, I've got something from New Balance to Adididas to Reebok...they all have nice designs.
Foams are still popular, haven't really heard of the rest....but I'm not too deep into it.

Hell yeah, that's what I'm wearing - just had them re-soled after 4-5 years wear. Got the black bottoms instead of the ivory since I use them for work. Picked up a new pair similar to above from Red Wing when I picked up my resoles, those have been my going out boots though they'll eventually turn to work as well.

Re-sole was $90 and took exactly four weeks - can't beat that, they're like new.

Yeah, the quality of the Nike retros fell off after 2003 from what I recall.

Found some old pics taken between 2002-2004.

I wouldn't consider myself a sneakerhead, but having 4 pieces of steel in your right foot will make you really choose your shoes wisely. Also because of the nature of my foot I have to buy new shoes quite frequently. I can't wear the thin canvas shoes like vans or chuck taylors, yet I crave that old school skate look. I find myself buying DC shoes almost every time, and just picked up 3 pairs of the model 'the pure', random internet pics of the colors I picked.

I have Bred 11s, Fire Red 3s, Space Jam 11s, Fighter Jet Foamposites, and my holy grail is...
Galaxy Foamposites
