I just moved to nashville from atlanta for college and can't find any trails in the area. Ive asked around some and nobody seems to know of any. Does anybody know of any trails in the nashville area? Thanks!

Sorry, I'm from Chattanooga, so I can't help you out as far a Nashville goes.
I just started a new job with a company in Atlanta, maybe you can share some trails with me?
If you're ever in Chattanooga, I've heard that Big Fork (on Signal Mountain) is fun, but I've not tried it yet. There's also Prentice Cooper, but I haven't tried it either. There's an easy trail on Lookout mountain that I would have fun on in both my T4R and my GF's old Jeep Cherokee (both stock). It's right off Scenic Hiighway and I would have to point it out on Google Earth or something.

Adventure Off Road.
Great park! Probably closer to Chattanooga, but within range and worth the trip. Trails from mild to wild.

Awesome thanks! as for trails in atlanta there arent really many "legal" places to ride. Durhamtown is about an hour and a half but it has tons of trails and is the only place I know of. But around where I live there are some powerlines and undeveloped areas that have some decent trails.

There are four places that I'm aware of, but not all that close-Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky, Wooley's Off Road near lewisburg, Wheelin in the Country near Columbia, i think, Coppinger Cove near Tracey City/Monteagle. Coal Creek/WindRock near Knoxville/Oak Ridge.

My buddy near Ft. Campbell in KY took me around a lot of the forest area there the Army owns but is open to the public. some fun trails, especially when it rains. Probably an hr+ from Nashville.
Not sure of exactly how to get there, but there were definitely rideable trails near some of the entrances of to the base.

Yeah these are the best ones I know of. Turkey Bay OHV area (in Land Between the Lakes) is still my favorite spot of all time. But Wooly's is pretty awesome too.

WXman-How far is Turkey Bay OHV from Nashville. What's the best way to get there- I-24 to Kentucky?

Yeah you want to take I-24 west to exit 65 in Kentucky. This should put you onto highway 68 (which is also highway 80). Go west and when you cross over Lake Barkley you'll officially be on the Land Between the Lakes. There'll be signs for "The Trace" which is the road that runs north/south the length of LBL. This takes you to Turkey Bay OHV area.
It's maybe 1 to 1.5 hours from Nashville. Not too bad. It's 4 hours from my house in central KY.
But it's still worth the trip occasionally. In late winter you can see bald eagle nests on some of the trails.Back 10 years ago the soliders from Fort Campbell would go there a lot and the place was rockin' on the weekends and it was "open riding" and there was lots of mudding going on. Was a blast. But now the USFS has cracked down on trails nationwide and the rules are more strict which sort of kills all the fun. It's a shame. But the property is still worth a look if you like climbing obstacles, etc.

Hey Duluth make the trip down to the Chattanooga area one weekend and ill show you some good local trails. Adventure offroad park is pretty awesome, but is only open on the weekends and tends to get very crowded. I know some good local trails though that we could do. It would take you about 2 and a half hrs to get down this way.

Yeah i go to college in nashville but live in atlanta so I travel through Chattanooga about once a month so I would definitely be up for that sometime
