So i'd take a picture put it's kind of pointless but i got a little postcard saying that this is an important document that should be placed in the glove box.

I guess there is some sort of settlement thing going on with Toyota that has applies to vins that end in 6572. It indicates that i am a class member and fall into the category of the settlement. It says i'm eligible to get a cash payment upon alleged loss upon certain disposition of subject vehicle following an alleged unintended acceleration event during the tome of sep 1 2009 to dec 3010. along with other things as well like installing additional parts for the brake override system or participate in the customer support program. Whatever that is??

Anyway it basically mentions all the different qualifications. I thought this would just apply to the newer Toyota's that had that problem but my Vin matches the last 4 it gave me. So yeah, I'm confused wondering if anyone else go this?

I got one, then threw it away. I personally dont have much interest in being part of a class action suit.

yeah that's what I think im gonna do. I'm pretty sure i have no case because for one i love my truck too much, and two I dont think it has those problems so i wont have a case at all

Another reason would be that I don't really think being involved in a class action law suit with Toyota would be good karma lol just saying.

Got one, kept it. Mostly for records because they don't really state what the suit is in regards to (yet). Regardless, a class action suit would probably result in mere pennies unless you personally incurred legitimate loss of something. Most of the time, especially with something like the auto industry where they sell a lot of their product, they send this sort of thing out to collect information on how wide spread the issue is and to what degree does it affect its users.

I got one too, but I chose to opt out. It says that you will still be a part of the class action lawsuit and I don't want any part of that.

Oh and mine says that the lawsuit is due to claims of a faulty ETCS unit. Which one, they showed that it doesn't take much brake pressure to compensate for an open throttle and two, that they found that many people were hitting the gas on purpose once they heard of the potential problem so they could sue Toyota.
