Anyone done OEM smart key install on 5th gen?

5th gen guys, anyone thought of or been successful adding the OEM Limited Smart Key option in any other model? I'm wanting to do this but not sure where to start. I know there are plenty of after market options, but I would like to just purchase the OEM parts and convert my 4Runner with the push to start and the door handle unlock options. Anyone?

To do this I suspect you would have to install the entire Limited door handles and electronics on each door and hatch.

When I was looking at which model I wanted, this complexity of doing this was one of the reasons I went with a Limited.

Honestly, I still find it hard to believe that Toyota hasn't added this option as standard equipment on all 4Runners by now.

Same. If a Trail was available w ventilated seats, smart key and JBL...

There is an aftermarket systems available and a much lower cost than the OE parts.

Yea, my last 2 cars had them... tough to go back. I still grab and pull the handle on my beater Corolla XRS as I rarely drive it haha

My friend always mocks me when we go wheeling. I have the ac on with vented seats while his FJ80 has the windows down and dust everywhere. Why not enjoy luxuries off-road!
