I still don't see the point of it. I'm on FB and that gets annoying. Twitter appears to be just a "fast forward" version of FB. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm old, maybe I don't care enough to be bombared by worthless information. FB and my car forums (T4R.ORG and 8thcivic) are all the social media I'll be involved with. I spend TONS more time on T4R.ORG than I do on anything else.

lol,, just as I dont see the "point" of this fourm, with youtube having all the info we have without, all the going off topic lol, and yes, Im old also.
I think Twitter is cool, much better than FB atleast Im not constantly bombarded with "suggested pages" and game requests :ybrick:

no you don't need to be signed up to read the feed.
I think twitter is great if you have a schedule that allows you small moments of free time through out the day. If you have a few long moments of free time, then you have time to log into a forum or something. Of course you can actually follow the forum feed on twitter as well:

No, i don't use Twitter nor Facebook. Be careful, you guys need to double check every post on those social networks...it may come back to bite you in the butt! I have heard enough of people getting fired over these things...and thus, the reason why i don't touch these things.

I don't use facebook but I am on Linkedin for professional contacts. I find twitter is, fascinating almost. I don't "tweet" very much and my "followers are mostly my children's ages. I follow those same people in addition to a few news feeds and sports.
Twitter to me is like a mass text message. Wanna get a pickup basketball game at 3:00 today? My son will have 20 guys show up with one tweet. You want to find your lost dog? Yep. Recently twitter was responsible for finding a missing child because, if deemed important enough, the tweet will spread exponentially in a very few minutes. It will go from a single person to 200K people in just a few minutes.
Tweeting is like anything else...use some sense. If you don't keep up you will be left behind. How many use instagram?

Agreed. I'm a 24 year old and it's exhausting for me to just hear other people talk about Facebook (which I do use), Twitter and now Instagram. How do you even keep up with all that?
FB is enough for me, that and car/truck forums as well.
A friend and I joked the other day that if I joined Twitter, this would likely be me (minus the crashing part probably):
