Anyone familiar with '13 or '14 RAV4?

Talk her out of the IS vert. That thing is so ugly in the vert version. Proportions are so off that I just cringe when I see them on the road. Actually I hardly see them on the road in So Cal. Seems they are not selling well. Or production is low on them.

Get an IS250 sedan. I used to have one but it was very small on the inside and back seat was tiny. I could not fit back there at 6'1.

I love the IS in all forms, IS2/350, C, and ISF. They're all fantastic looking cars.

The 2013 RAV4 is nice. I haven't driven one but I wish they would have kept the V6 with it.

A lot of advice and suggestions here...but remember, if the wife is happy, the husband is happy...if the wife ain't happy, then the husband AIN'T HAPPY.

I agree with others have said about the CRVs...for what they are and do, they are hard to beat...have two in the family along with my truck (4Runner).

You should...as gently as possible...remind your wife that when car, house, or any expensive shopping...need to leave emotions at home.

Have kids? Planning on any soon? That convertible might be impractical really quick...

Anyhoooooo, the deal is done. Final negotiations took all week, but ended up with $3K off msrp + another $500 spiff for using Honda Finance. 09% X 36 mo. I'll make a couple payments and pay it off. Small inconvenience for $500.

The wifey's cherry, low miles '10 CRV is probably going to get totalled by our ins co. She, ah, kinda took it for a swim through a flooded intersection Sunday. Ingested water, engine locked, etc etc.

Car shopping today, and I want to look at Toyotas too. Any words of wisdom on RAVs, or other Toyotas?

If it were up to me, I'd just replace the CRV, but I'm trying to take my own oft-given advice about the wife picking her car.

RAV4 is more size comparable to the CRV but you could also consider the Highlander. The new ones are the size of a 4th gen Runner, and actually quite an upgrade from the CRV or RAV4.

*EDIT: just saw you have already made a decision. good choice there man with the Accord.
