anyone from Piladelphia????Body lift Questions.

hi all.I am looking forward to install rear body lift only(1"-1.5").my front is little bit higher than rear because of 5100s are all the way up.read topics from before and most of the links to where to buy the lift kit are not working.please point me in the right direction,where to buy rear only,and other tricky stuff i dont know about.

i dont think there are any more options besides body lift to raise the rear a little.

anyone who is from philadelphia knows any shops that will be able to do the lift?
how hard is it if im gonna be doing it by myself?
what problems can i run into if i go for 1.5"lift?

i have a 06 sport v8 with 1.5"spacers and 5100s and moog springs all around.

You cant just use a body lift on the rear of the vehicle. You can put a spacer on top of the rear coils to lift it if thats what you mean. Daystar makes a set that lifts 1.5" and runs about $40. Fairly easy to install if you have some mechanical knowledge.

Um, Troy is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! You cannot.... I say again: CANNOT "body lift" only the back. A body lift only works correctly (read safely) when the ALL of the body mounts (front and back) sit on equally high lift blocks. You stated that you have 1.5" spacers and Moog springs on all four wheels. Well, that sounds a bit vague. Regarding your "spacers": which brand/kit do you currently have installed? If you have 1.5" spacers on all four wheels and Moog springs, your rear end should be sitting up significantly higher than the front. And, btw, there are other options. You can go with different rear coils. Not sure what sort of lift the Moogs give, but my Toytec Superflex springs gave me well over 2 inches of lift. Their "Heavy Duty" coils will give 2.5" of lift in the rear. I'm sorry, but if your front is sitting higher than the rear, you either did something wrong during the installation OR, your rear coils are shot.

i dont know what spacers you taught about.i am talking about wheel spacers that move the wheel outwards 1.5 inch.i dont know the brand(i guess no name )but the idea of having a spacer on the spring is something that i was looking for.moog springs didnt give me any lift on the rear at all.

No you shouldnt need anything else with just the spacers for lift.

Oh. Well, I'm sorry but your description said "i have a 06 sport v8 with 1.5" spacers and 5100s and moog springs all around" which led me to believe that you were discussing only your suspension rather than wheel spacers. Regardless, the Daystar spacer lift is pretty straight-forward. Here is a write up on how to do it:

it is not significantly higher,only very slightly,almost level.!!!
