I'm in the middle of pledge ship right now for Sigma Chi and was curious if anyone here was greek and had any stories to share or thoughts on being greek.

Thanks

My opinion: don't pay for friends.

I remember freshman year, all they did was try to get people out to their rush events and whatnot. I went to a few and they were all the same, not sure how you managed to choose sigma chi with sigma nu trying to recruit right out of high school. Eventually they all just got the message, not interested. The only plus to these "bro"hoods are the associated sororities you get to mess around with. And then again, the shit these girls go through just to wear some letters says a lot about them :l

Lots of stories....not appropriate for here though :) As for thoughts...every person is different but for myself it was great and the 'right' decision. 13 years later I still keep in contact with my brothers. It can be a lot of fun, just don't exclude yourself to having friends within your frat, you can be friends with other frat members and even GDI's. Enjoy your time, have fun, don't take things too personally during your pledging. Balance your party life with your class life, classes are more important (hurts to say that but the truth). Enjoy your time, it will go by fast!

Hate to say but I had to drop because I couldn't handle physics and pledge ship. I kinda regret my decision thinking maybe I should've dropped physics or would that be dumb?

Thanks

Where at in NE Ohio are ya Ant? I've got a boatload of good stories from up in the Liberty area. Spent alot of time in Girard and Hubbard. There's a place up there they call Marinelli's (sp?) Some decent off roading....much better spot to crack a beer by the fire and watch the girls mud wrestle though! I should be heading back up there sometime this summer.
