Center Console different?

So the first two pictures show the arm rest out of the 4runner(2008 Limited) for sale and the last two are pictures out of the arm rest on my vehicle(2006 SR5). I dont know what it is, but the one for sale I don't know if its just been damaged by the sun or they simply put the wrong kind of chemical on it when trying to treat or preserve it. . .it feels kind of rough and papery, almost like sand paper, but not as abrasive. And the last two pictures of my 4runner it shows how the armrest is more leather looking and no weird side stitch job? I'm wondering if for some reason maybe the arm rest in the Limited used a different material to make it? Anyone have any ideas?

The armrest in my Limited looks just like the one in the last two pictures. I would say that armrest in the first pictures is really worn out or has been incorrectly treated/ preserved.
