Anyone regret going yellow on fogs?

Lamin-X looks nice, but I was looking at a full replacement.

Likely the BD ones.

Still on the fence.

For $15 you can buy clear lenses for the BD ones and change them out to your hearts content - another awesome feature of the uService technology. I bought the clear lenses if I ever wanted to change it up.

To that note, not a single regret on the BD fog conversion lights in yellow here!

Can't go wrong with the BD lights. I originally had the squadron sports where the fogs were but ended up replacing them with the squadron pros and used the sports for my ditch lights. They work exceptional well in foggy, dusty, snowy conditions and are awesome in the rain at night!

Toyota 4Runner Limited & TRD Pro (14- ) Tint Fog Light Covers

So there is that option above for "Tint" for the TRD Pro

And two yellow options, oval and round (14- ) Toyota 4Runner both showing a picture of a square

But nothing on the site for yellow film for the TRD Pro.

I am assuming there is something I am missing to order the correct ones for the Pro?

(Mine is still on the boat, not in the driveway, so I can't run outside and check...yet)

I'm getting the itch to buy some new shit for the 4Runner, and am torn between yellow or white fogs.

I love the way the yellows look, but I'm not sure I'd actually like them on the road.

Anyone buy them and wish they went with white? Or, vice versa? Anyone buy them and think "shit I wish I had always had this?'

I did the Lamin-X covers... then added Phillips LED fog bulbs, which really made a difference in terms of the amount of total light output, IMHO. And I took some time to properly aim them so they weren't causing too much glare for others, but still giving me what I needed in terms of decent light down low on the road for rain, snow and fog. The only downside to the LED bulbs is that they don't run very hot at all (on the lens surface), which causes snow to build up and not melt off.

To answer the OP's question... yes, I like the yellow lens upgrade and would not go back.

My point to the original poster was that the lamin-x was an inexpensive way to see if they like the yellow, I think it's much better for the rain and fog, cuts thru it and provides better vision. This way if they don't like it, instead of spending many $$$$, they've done an inexpensive test for themselves, and just peel them right off.

Baja Design lights are meant for off roading applications. They are not DOT approved and you will most likely get pulled over if you use them as normal driving lights. I use my strictly when its snowy, foggy or when it is raining at night but only if other cars are not on the road. I also use my lights when driving on county roads as those roads never have lighting. If you are looking for something you can use on the road without worries then upgrade your headlights to hid and run led in your fogs but the Baja Design lights are second to none so you can go wrong with them!

I'm planning on doing this in the future. Instead will be using duplicolor metalcast. Apparently this stuff is the most durable on the market. Look at some of the customer review photos. Most of them look great!

Oh and why would I consider the spray vs lamin-X? From what I gather, the lamin-x starts to haze after sometime.

I just put the lamin-x on this morning. Super easy and I like the look so far. If I change my mind I'm not out much and they come off.

You might want to read this post in the Baja Design Fog Light thread. Love my yellow lights in the fog/rain/snow, much less glare than white.

+1 for Baja Designs Squadron Pro - Wide / cornering amber lens

I have had them installed for about 5 months now, and they have been amazing in low visibility situations. I have mentioned it before, but I will mention it again, as far as on road use they are not legal to have. That being said, I do use them on the road (LOL) with specific parameters. I basically treat them like hi-beams but for low visibility scenarios. No oncoming traffic, or when I am behind someone. I don't run them in populated areas at night. But I do run them with traffic during the day only in low visibility situations so that I am as visible as I can be to other drivers, particularly on winding roads with blind corners. I don't use them at night in the same scenario because the light output would be too much, and I cannot guarantee I would be able to shut them off fast enough not to effect other people, so I just don't do it. So far, I haven't been "flashed" by oncoming drivers when using them during the day in bad weather. This is what I do, and it has worked well so far, but ultimately running them on the road is your decision and judgement call.

On the trail, they are fantastic. Plenty of light and they cut through dust from other vehicles very nicely. I would advocate the amber lens over white for the fog light position. White works better for distance in my experience and would be better suited for a spot or driving light versus a low-vis light.
