Anyone running Eibach Pro 1" lift rear coils w/5100 or 5160?

Gonna try to sneak a 1.5ish" front and 1" rear lift in on the wife when I replace our leaky XREAS.

Looking at 1" spacers for the rear led me to the Eibach coils as their only a couple bucks more than spacers. All the Information say you must run them with Eibach shocks...

I would buy the whole Eibach kit if it the front had more adjustability. Looks like its a minimum of 2.5" front which the wife will definitely notice and id like to keep a bit of rake so we don't squat on road trips or if we ever tow anything.

So long story short: Anyone running Eibach Pro 1" lift rear coils w/5100 or 5160 shocks? Hows the ride? Any issues?

If you haven’t bought shocks yet why not get the Eibach ones? I bought the Eibach shocks and the rear spring. I think it rides less harsh than the bilsteins I have on my truck.

Yes, I have Dobinson shocks and springs up front. I think it rides fine, but can only compare it to the stock set-up which was too soft.

I’d like to purchase a full kit, but I’m hesitant on the full Eibach kit due to the lift dimensions.

This is my wife’s daily and she really doesn’t want it much higher than it already is. Also, I don’t really want to level it because it’s our primary road trip car and use the third row a fair amount. I think with the 2.5”/1” lift the car will end up doing a Carolina squat when loaded up.

Would like to go 1.5”/1” lift to avoid this.

I have the bilstein 5100 on my Silverado. I had them and old man emu on other 4 runners.

I didn’t want a lot of lift this time. I have the Eibach front shock with the stock springs set at 1.6. I even used the 4th gen rear spring so the rear wouldn’t be so high. You can buy all the Eibach stuff separately.

I wanted a better ride with more confidence.

I got a mild lift from Dobinson Coil overs spring and shocks

went from 19 3/4" to 21" in front and 21 1/2" to 23" in rear not much

Wifey didn't notice it but likes how it drives a lot better.

It looks like the pro shocks without coils are adjustable! I think that’s the way to go. Get the adjustable pro shocks for the front and pros for rear then add the 1” rear coil lift. Put the front perch at the 1.6” setting.

That’s exactly what I’m looking for. And they come with a lifetime/million mile warranty? Nice!

I hesitated to mention it because unless someone points it out you may not notice it, but if you have OCD like many other folks on here you may want to add a small spacer (no more than .5 in) to the drivers side up front to compensate for the notorious lean 4Runners demonstrate when lifted. It’s a result of all the weight (fuel, etc) that lives on the drivers side.

Cornfed will cut any size you want from what I’ve read here.

Possibly, but it’s generally imperceivable at stock height from what I’ve read here.

They’re slightly more expensive, but I’m eventually upgrading my Bilstein 5100s (Aka Eibach) to 6112s because they have 7 height settings instead of 3 which allow for finer adjustments and therefore mitigate this very issue

Most set the driver side 1 notch above the passenger, although I’ve seen posts lamenting not setting the drivers side 2 notches higher instead.

When I get mine, I’ll likely set them at (6) driver and (5) passenger and adjust from there depending on what measurements I get.

Buy once cry once. While I love the 5100s, the moment I read about this issue and then went outside and looked at mine again I died a little inside. OCD is a hell of a drug.

I thought that had been discussed. Don’t the Eibach have specific valving that differs from Bilstein shocks? I think the shock body maybe the same though.

I would say that is a true statement, based on the description of another set of coils I was looking at.

OCD is a hell of a drug.

It's CDO, alphabetically, if you truly have it. I just ordered a set of Toytec/Eibach 1.6" coils for the front and will order the 1" for the rear. I have a .25" spacer for the driver's side, so I hope it all works out.

I'm thinking of pairing the Eibachs with my King shocks... I'm currently on stock rear coils and I feel like it doesn't do justice for the rear shocks. Almost as if it runs out of room and feels jolty. I'm hoping these coils will let them stretch and provide more absorption.
