Just wondering if anyone is running this combo and if they like it...

OME 883 up front

LC 7.5 wraps in the rear

Also what shocks are you running :frog:

Well, I'm running 883s with OME 861s (made for a LandCruiser FJZ80) in the rear. I like the 883s a lot, but they will be stiff without weight. With my ARB and Budbuild skid, it rides pretty darn good I must say. I have the OME N91SC comfort shocks up front too.

I can't comment on regular LC coils because mine are OMEs, but I love the way these ride too. And I've been very impressed with the Tokico Trekmaster LC shocks (#GE4095) I have back there. They were $80 shipped for the pair (check out discountautoshocks.com) and they ride as nice as the $160 OMEs that I had previously.

Thanks for the info Brian2sun. I put this up because I ordered a set of toytec eibach springs but unfortunately they aren't in stock so I'm getting the 883's for the same price. According to Ben at toytec the 883's and the toytec/eibach springs have about the same spring rate and both are 3" lift so it shouldn't be a big deal with one over the other.

I finally decided to go with this set up:

Front will be OME 883's and Rancho 5000's - RS5762's which are the Rancho replacement for the 4 cyl 4runner (also fits the Prerunner 2wd with TRD off road package). After some discussions with Rancho they have the same valving as the RS5763 for the 6 cyl except the 5762's have a bump stop instead of a top out spring giving them an extra 2" of travel.

Rear will be LC 7.5 wraps with Rancho 5208 LC coils for the added travel and valving to match the springs.

I'm going this route very soon (have the 883's and 8 wraps in the back of the truck uninstalled). With the ARB, my front end dropped about a half inch (my 881's) so I'm getting my 883's in (since some Skid Row skids are on the way as well) and leaving my top plate spacers in.

Be careful about throwing top spacers above 883s. You'll end up with more than 3" of lift and your CVs may not like it - especially on the trails. I wouldn't put top spacers on my setup, my LCAs are steep enough. Anymore would be for looks at the cost of functionality.

To be honest, I really don't wheel my 4Runner enough to be too concerned with destroying my CV's. I've read of people running 882's and top plate spacers with no real issues, and from pictures it seems their rigs are more trail-dedicated than mine is. I do realize that this will add some extra stress, but with the added weight of the ARB and the aftermarket skid, I should be fine. After rotating my tires the other week, I noticed that my less-worn rear tires (now on the front) were rubbing a lot more than before I rotated my tires. My 881's had reached their maximum operating height.

Seems this would put a ton more stress on the ball joints too. If you go this route let us know how it works out.
