Looks pretty much like the amazon ARB knockoff everyone was getting a few years back.

Like, identical.

I'm hesitant since the seller has only 1 review from 15yrs ago but its amazon so there's at least some level of buyer protection. Thoughts?

Thought so, too, from looking at the pictures. I emailed them to confirm what it said in the description: (fits on the RIGHT/Passenger side Fender)

They confirmed that it is for the passenger side fender on LHD vehicles.

Looks to be pretty much the same thing. The fender fit isn't *perfect* where it fits into the groove in the fender, but it's certainly pretty decent. It's a bit of a struggle to get that hose attached to the air box and the snorkel inside the small amount of area behind the fender, since it's a tight fit onto the airbox. But other than that? Looks good, works well (no clogged filter after spending days on moondust trails), and after I pointed the scoop backwards, not even a bunch of bugs in the air filter box after a highway trip.

Be prepared for people to ask if you go in deep water though, lol. No, that's not what it's for. It's for the dust. Although there's a chance this might save your motor if you accidentally stuck the nose into a puddle that turned out to be waaaaaay deeper than you thought it was.

Thats actually the one I was looking for that everyone was running a few years ago. From what I can tell in the photos the one I ordered is the exact same Chinese knock off just rebranded. And yeah, I live in the low desert, not much deep water crossing but plenty of fine dust to contend with. Have watched the videos on install, not looking forward to getting that little elbow on the airbox but am prepared haha

Snorkel came in end of last week and I got it on this weekend. Was fairly in-line with what I’d read to expect. This template was a bit different than the one in Timmy’s video as was the model number (a screenshot from Timmy’s video in the attachments). Even with the template lined up I still think the holes could’ve been another 3/16-1/4 further forward. The fitment around the antenna isn’t ideal but don’t know if there would be enough purchase on the a-pilar had they been. Anyway, it’s doing its job. Not sure if it’s psychosomatic but if does feel like the engine isn’t working quite as hard to get up to speed. I’ve caught myself speeding a few times on roads I’m used to driving everyday.


Anyway, for anyone wondering, it’s really good quality and in line with what was reported about the “wotefusi” Amazon one from a while back.

I eventually flipped the snorkel around on mine. Tree branches like to grab onto it if it's facing forward, and on highway trips it sucks in bugs. There's no ram air effect happening, lol. Maybe turn it sideways toward the windshield?

Yeah I’m probably going to get one of these pre filters the Aussie guys run for that very reason. Day to day it’s fine open (or with a dryer sheet) but will likely keep one of these in the truck for off-road

It's already pulling in air from outside the engine compartment, probably doesn't make that much of a difference between the fender well vs. the windshield area.

Minimal I'm sure, inner fender heated by engine outer by sun ambient intake in what resembles an oven.
Straight shot of ambient air helps not going to do much against rest of heat soak in bay.

I live in the low desert and 200° road temperatures aren’t irregular. I’d argue, at least in my circumstance, it does a great deal to improve intake temps. 160-200° asphalt+microdust=not happy. I’ve changed my filter 5x in the last two years

Good Intel there. Dirty South hitting triple digits more than normal this year got me to thinking.
