Anyone bought this timing belt/water pump kit on Amazon?

The Amazon kit doesnt list the brand of components. Whether you go with OEM or aftermarket parts, I would still go with eBay since they seem to have the best pricing.
For the same price as the Amazon link, you can get an eBay kit with a genuine Aisin water pump (no thermostat and hydraulic tensioner though). You can tell that it is an Aisin pump because the gasket has a rubber liner, so no additional liquid gasket is required. I'm not sure if I would trust some of the cheaper fiber gaskets without some sort of liquid gasket ontop.
IMO, with our 5VZFE engines, I would prioritize having a better quality water pump over the belt itself. If the pump fails, you overheat. If the belt snaps, the engine just stops running (but it's a non interference motor, so meh).

Weird, when I bought that kit, the WP was an Aisin with the Toyota logo scraped off. Guess it's a gamble if you get an Aisin pump or not.
I would definetly ensure that you have an Aisin pump in the kit.
If the pump breaks or leaks, you may as well replace everything else when you replace it as your TB will certainly be ruined by the antifreeze.

I see Aisin clutch cylinders (master and slave) on Amazon for attractive prices.
Are these remanufactured or new? Is the quality Aisin?
I've been through two sets of Centric cylinders from a local parts dealer in a couple of MONTHS! The Toyota originals lasted 125000 miles.

The Feb 3rd 2013 review from Blaine is my brief review. I have been driving on it since January and have been trouble free and running good. The parts are all OEM except for the fan, alt, and ps belts.
Haven't had any trouble whatsoever. I should probably go ahead and buy another one now for the next 60k change.
Comes with some seals that I did not replace though. They weren't leaking and I didn't even want to touch them if they were giving me any problems.

One of the things I noted in my review is how nice and easy the gaskets and seals were to replace around the water pump. It is the rubber gasket and it is an Aisin water pump. The guy that helped me would know waaaaaay more than myself and he was shocked that I got the quality parts for the price I paid. But it and don't think twice.

just bought the TBK Timing Belt Kit Toyota 4 Runner 1996 to 2002 3.4L 5VZFE V6 and it came with the Toyota pretensioned thingy jig, Aisin waterpump, GMB, Stone and Bando parts. Looks good. I've heard that the Bando timing belt doesn't always fit right so I picked up one from the Toyota dealership just in case. I'll return it if the kit belt works. There are two versions of this kit, I think, one with the Aisin waterpump one with a possibility of the Aisin waterpump. They are priced at $258 and $222 respectively.

I am working on my timing belt/water pump job. Since the aircabinman kit comes with a gasket for the water pump, does that mean I don't need any FIPG at all, I can just put it on dry?
