I️ didn’t even bother contacting. Any time the last two digits are non-zero like that it’s a scam.

Who’s truck are they using to con though is the fun game I’d like to play. Anyone got a guess?

I searched for 5 months for mine and for the last 3 months or so these have popped up Other types of trucks//cars have also popped up. Usually for 1500 or less but usually with weird 1438 type prices.

If it's too good to be true it is.

I'm not 100 % sure, but a few days ago I tagged a bunch of these '$1451' cars on the Baltimore CL. Within hours, my phone explodes with a number I didn't recognize, so I googled the number and it came up as 'qualicom' - scam tactic telemarketers.

My local CL is so jammed with phishing/scam/scammers it's not even worth looking at the ads anymore. Literally, for every 10 ads there is maybe 1 somewhat legitimate for sale ad, and that's usually someone trying flip a car ( wholesaler/curb side dealer).

Sanibel/ft. Myers beach. I go there every year then take the ferry down to key west for a couple days.

My great grand parents lived on Sanibel in the 30's . They tended the lime tree groves and ate sea turtles . Grandpa said the mosquitoes were so bad he would sometimes keep a smugepot burning right next to himself despite the heat . When they left in the late 30's , the owner offered to sell the orchard for pennies a acre and Grandpa laughed and said " Who would want it ? " . He lived to be 104 years old and still would laugh at himself for that mistake .

Hard luck scams are out there as well. Came across a Taco with the tgtbt price, upon email contact I get a hard luck case out of the Midwest, not locally, about a sudden deployment in just a couple of hours (hence the quick sale price) as well as a loss in the family and some other tear jerker stories. The poster just wanted a couple hundred dollars to pay a broker and the sale would be completed by him. By this time I had investigated and the same truck was in several other CL markets with some of the ads deleted by the poster. Be careful out there folks.

I was looking for a motorcycle on CL.Came across what looked like a good deal in NJ.Response I got was from a female in the military.She claimed she was in Hawaii and about to deploy to the mid-east.Bike belonged to her husband who was killed in Iraq.Just wanted to get rid of the memory.Price supposedly included shipping to me in NY.If I didnt like the bike she would pay to have it shipped back,and refund my $$.A week later,different bike,same story.Are people really this stupid?
