I am reading the live blog of iOS 7...my workplace does not let me see the Apple stream. From reading about it on Engadget Blog, it sure sounds nice. A few features are very much like Android...but very elegantly designed throughout. Simplicity at work. I am impress. It is compatible with iPhone 4 and later. iPhone 3GS software will end with iOS 6.

Siri is more helpful because now you can use it (male or female voice) to set settings.

Car manufacturers are going to have Siri-compatible technology in their cars by 2014, including Acura/Honda, Nissan/Infiniti, Mercedes, Hyundai, Jaguar...but no Toyota/Lexus???

iRadio is FREE! :)

My update (on Sprint) is coming up in July...initially, i was sure that i will stick with Android. But, iOS 7 does look nice. So, i will have to see what Apple does with iPhone 5S.

Understatement of the day. "revolutionary" updates added to IOS7; Notifications on the lock screen, brightness slider, quick control toggles, auto app updates....welcome to Android 2011.

Glad to see apple giving their users more functionality, i'm just not personally much of an iPhone fan. Love the shit out of my MBP though.

Looks pretty good. control center will be a welcome addition and its nice to get rid of the third party flashlight apps. Design looks great with the transparency and parallax backgrounds. Lots of small useful features like swiping to go back and the great new look of multitasking. If you get a chance to watch the presentation they definitely take shots at android. Things like iOS 6 being the most installed OS in the world (being that android is so fragmented that only about 1/3 of its users on the newest OS) and pointing out how great air drop is because you can easily tap on all the users nearby you want to share with instead of having to go around 'bumping phones' with people like a fool.

I try to stay out of the who invented what first stuff but I am glad to hear that IOS is getting some updates. It seemed very stale to me.
 
Airdrop works over wifi. I think it creates an ad-hoc network. It is also support by OS X. Not sure if third parties are able to use it though.

Are we still able to install the beta's if why can find them for download? I know in the past it wasn't hard to find torrents of the latest iOS beta's or even the GM before it was public.

This is very interesting. I've actually been looking for something like this for years but the aftermarket has offered either nothing or "not enough" for me. Being that APPLE is offering it, I'd be willing to install it on my cars (reliable and not buggy). The article I mentioned doesn't go into detail on how to physically install it (that will come later), but very interesting nevertheless.
