I agree that Apple's support is unmatched, but I feel they should have left the iPhone 4 alone with ios6. Yeah, you leave that behind, but it's better than making the new iOS that is designed for a faster processor backwards compatible with a slower device, reducing the usefulness and speed of the device. I'd be happy with my old iOS6

I understand. You're right. Unfortunately, most apps will update to iOS7 standard, which may explain your app issues. I think that you would probably still have this problem even if you stay with iOS6.

Have you considered buying a 4S or 5 on eBay? Or just upgrade (if you're under contract)? The problem is that horsepower is just not there with iPhone 4...and given that you have battery issues as is, you need to upgrade anyways.

I am grandfathered into a truly unlimited data plan on Verizon. They will kick me off that unlimited data if I upgrade through Verizon. It's bullshit.

I can get one off eBay but I can barely afford gas now as it is. It's not really important that I can't watch YouTube videos. I have a computer. I'll watch it there.

Ahhh, i see. How much is your monthly cost with Verizon? Have you looked into Straight Talk (IF you have good ATT coverage where you live/work)?

Nah I love my coverage with Verizon. AT&T sucks in my neck of the woods
