I'm going to fab up these mounts as well. I went to tractor supply and picked up some U bolts and i have a bunch of 1" flat stock that i can make the L shaped brackets out of.

I just have to go back and get the right sized bolts for the awning, the ones i got are too big so the heads don't fit into the slots..
