I will run them at summit, and the place I found that will let me go spelunking (most of the caves and mines there are gated and locked down well) is kinda hard to get to. So watch for a report early Aug.

How did they hold up?
Well, I never really bashed anything more than two river rocks, but they held up just fine and I did not have to worry.

I had them for a short time, they are worthless. Stick with OEM or go with worthwhile aftermarket like Bud, Shrock, RCI, etc.
Yeah, the ARB skids (especially the front one) are not strong at all. I went crawling and hit one rock very slowly and bent the crap out of them. But, I ended up banging them back into shape with a sledge hammer and welding some 1/2 smooth bar to the back of the skids. They are way stronger now.

I'm asking the same question. Can someone confirm these ARB skids fit a 4th gen, specifically a 2008 V6 Sport.
There is not a lot out there, mainly just this thread that indicates they fit. Looking for a quick confirmation from someone who actually has them on their truck.

I believe the consensus is that they're not really worth it. Why not take a look at some other options?

Sure, I'm open to other options. However, my 4th gen is new to me and I'm not planning to hit any serious trails with it just yet. So, I'm not concerned about protection as much as others. My friend has the ARB on his 5th gen and I like the look, a lot. Apparently, the cage nuts on the ARB are a pain in the butt when changing the oil on a 5th gen. However, that won't be a problem with the 4th gens superior oil filter location.
My other options would be the bud built 1/8 steel or aluminum. I like all the Shrockworks stuff but $1400 is too much. I may need to see if there is a Shrockworks 2 piece option, maybe I don't need all four pieces.
I don't hate the stock skid but am looking at options. I want something that has airflow vents in front.

I have had the ARB's on my 04 V8 for years and I'm very pleased with them. If yours is a dedicated crawler, then maybe look at something a little more heavy duty, but these are at least far superior to stock. I do mostly overlanding and technical trails, but have done plenty of rock crawling as well and the ARB's have held up despite coming down on them really hard numerous times. I will say that I'm happy I have a much heavier RCI skid under my gas tank though.
Fit is great; they went on easily. I did replace the 2 Allen head bolts with some grade 8 hex heads though.
