Are manual locking hubs worth it?

It was pretty wild. Crossed up and a lot of skinny pedal. Opposite tires would come off the ground and wind up to 25 mph or so before he came back down and grind to a halt. The process repeated 3 or 4 times and the last time it sounded like gunshots when his tires touched back down. Fishwerks was there he can vouch lol. Link to carnage: rear diff front diff . front diff had so much crap floating around in it that it destroyed half his drain plug. Forest service took a bulldozer to that trail a year later or so and now its completely flat.

That's impressive. Did any of you guys mention after the 1st or 2nd attempt that high wheel spin and shock loading are a very bad combo? lol

Exciting times for sure. Thing exploded.

Yes suggestions were made, the cringe was real. Haha.

Small amounts of pride may have been involved as nobody else had issues with the ledge in question. I went up after we maneuvered his truck out of the way and ran it first shot as did Chris.

LMAO.

Number one rule of wheeling: Check your ego at the door.
Number two rule of wheeling: See rule number 1.

That's pretty impressive. Honestly, I think that is the first time I've seen something like that happen. I'm actually surprised how little damage there is to the front R&P there. Sounds like the spider gear is what grenaded and the teeth/chips might have tore up the R&P gears.
