are there any tricks on front rotor replacement

hello , I have an 85 4runner that needs new front brake rotors , I thought I would ask you guys and gals if there was an easier way of taking these rotors off , it has manual hubs .. thanks

Nope. You have to pull off the lockout hubs to get to the rotor and hub. That's a good video FoG linked, though.

It generally requires air tools to break the bolts holding the rotor to the hub, though. They like to freeze up tight, and it's hard to keep the rotor/hub from rotating while you crank on 'em. While you're in there, have a good look at the outside wheel bearing. If it's got any pitting or scarring at all, replace the whole set.
