Dr. Doeback, I don't think there are a ton of active members of the 4th gen forum in Auburn but there are a few nice T4Rs down there that I used to see when visiting. It may be worth posting this in the 3rd gen or gen discussion forum.
As far as I know the best off road places are the All American Off Road Park, and the trails in the Tuskeegee national forest (about 10-15 miles north of AU off I85). It may be worth PMing Autbond on here, he doesn't drive a 4r anymore but used to have a nice one he took off road down there frequently. He doesn't post much anymore though so he may not check his PMs either.
There's also a nice (or that's what I've heard) off road/truck shop right off the side of Opelika rd, it's on the left just before you start hitting the malls/shopping centers on Opelika road if you're coming from the university. I think it may be called Auburn Off Road or something similar.
edit- it may also be called Tiger Trucks? I'm honestly not sure, I just know where it is.
