Gen4 Sport V6, now using a cheapo Android PX3 HU with factory speakers Pioneer Door Speakers (not JBL). I'm posting in "Gen4", because earlier and later 4R versions might not be similar WRT to this audio-related question:
With the audio sources already addressed, the next step for improving sound quality (for the driver listening position) seems to be dynamats, addressing the huge road noise and wind noise in my 2007 Sport V6. I do not have a directional SPL available for pretesting the sources of nose at speed. If you've done such audio conversion already, on a similar Gen4: Will I need to do the ceiling, rear cargo area, and floors, or can I possibly "get by" with just the doors?
I have a moonroof, which makes the ceiling a bit complicated. I might try adding a bit over the interior "slider panel", but I can't do an entire expanse of continuous and unbroken ceiling mats.

Background and related, slightly OT: Background about audio sources, slightly OT: My music consists of carefully made "Compressed-Dynamics-for-Car-Compatibility" FLAC files from a large CD collection. Except for the dynamics processing, it's original quality. (Better than AAC, better than MP3@ anything less than 320Kbps; and vastly better than Radio.)
Speakers and amps and subwoofer appear to be a later step: the wind noise and road noise is quite overwhelming, and the original pioneer speakers don't do a horrible job with my sources, relativel low volume settings, and cheapo Andriod HU. I don't need high amounts of "bass thumping" to ruin my ears and distract other drivers at stop lights. :violin:
Thanks in advance for comments and replies!
