So I recently decided to get some cosmetic work done on my 2006 SR5, and so I went to a local autobody shop that was recommended to me by a friend.
I'm looking at getting both front and rear bumpers repaired and redone (mostly minor damage but there is a small amount of physical damage on the front left side that I'm looking to get fixed.
In addition, I enquired about repairs all around the vehicle sides (to include replacing the cheat line that has faded). Finally, I also got a separate quote to have the hood looked at. It's got enough cosmetic damage (to include a few small hail dents) at this point that they said it would have to be completely stripped down and repainted. Thus I have a few questions:
1. If you were having work done on both front and rear bumpers along with minor scratch repairs along the sides of the vehicle, what would you expect to pay for that type of work? I realize this can vary, but figured I'd ask anyway.
2. For the hood work that I mentioned, I have to admit the quote wasn't as expensive as I had expected, but to be honest I'm a bit worried that whatever paint they use to repaint it won't match the rest of the vehicle. Has anyone had experience with work of this magnitude and if so, what did you think?
