Auxito headlight LED bulbs and LEDs in general

Hi

I've got a 2007 SR5 4x4 and am thinking of replacing the stock headlight bulbs (high and low beams) and fog lights with Auxito LEDs using the existing stock headlight assemblies. Any experiences with this and also would you recommend the versions with fans or fanless models?

I was thinking of perhaps fan version (more expensive) for the mostly used low beams and fogs and maybe the fanless version for the high beams which aren't used as much.

tl;dr LEDs are bright, but many don't actually work correctly in a halogen or HID projector. You end up with shadows in the beam pattern (from the bulb circuit board) and focus issues. A few are actually decent, but most are not.

High output Halogen, or better yet HIDs will distribute light more effectively in your existing headlight housing.

If you have room in your budget, I ran this plug and play Xenon Depot kit for a few years (2016-2019) before doing a full projector conversion.

Xenon Depot ballasts are still kicking after 8 years (still using them daily today).

LED bulbs don't compare to an HID setup.

What did you go with for your projectors? I'm assuming you mean you changed them out for LED projectors? I've got a set of 06 headlights to swap into my 03 and I'm debating on whether or not I should try and find some LED projectors to put in them.

I've had these in my factory projectors for like 3 years.

Morimoto Mini D2S Projectors. Sourced parts from Lightwerkz, but there are other available vendors like The Retrofit Source.

Was 1000% worth it. The bi-xenons have much better output over OEM projectors + the highbeams are way more effective.

I tried upgrading my bulbs in an 07 SR5 as they were pretty terrible stock. I tried Auxbeams first and whilst bright I found on the high way and anything over 50mph I was outrunning the lights. I switched to DD SL2's which were expensive thinking it was the bulb but same thing - they were pretty useless at speed.
I am running OEM headlights which are not yellowed at all so I am not sure if maybe my projectors were burned out or LEDS just dont work with the OEM housings.
In the end I got a set of new lights from Freedom outfitters in the BF sale and they have been amazing so far.

Just looked up their website and wow those look really nice, especially the ones with the pod lights for high beams. Do you have a picture of yours installed?

Not the best pics, lights are pretty easy to install and wire. Halos come on with ignition, flash on indicators and turn off on low and high beams. They come with direct plugs for low and high beams so no splicing on those you just need to splice into the running lights for the Halos.
