Avert possible CAT failure.p0430

Drove my truck with a persistent p0174 bank 2 lean condition for a couple of months, as all efforts to resolve it failed, till i changed the injectors.during this period it intermittently threw a p0430 and p0420 code when i do a highway trip.

Now i have a pending p0430 code, and i suspect my CAT may be on its way out, due to the excess fuel that may have passed through it back then
My question is....is there anything i could do to reverse/stop this suspected impending failure?

If it's really failing, no. Did you change out the o2 sensors when you were chasing the p0174 code?

Yeah, i changed out the bank 2 oxygen sensor when i was chasing the p0174 issue, but put back the old sensor, when the cel remained.
So i hv 2 new post CAT oxygen sensors.for the 2 banks. Should i try installing them to see if anything would change?.

I would do that first before condemning the cat as bad

I believe there is a Passenger side, and a drivers side specific ( different part numbers) for the O2 Sensors.
I found this FSM test for the sensor.

Did the test on the post cat O2 sensors, they both read 13.6 and 13.7ohm respectively. So i guess they are good.

So either my CAT is dying for real, or i got a leak in the exhaust.
Inspected the whole length post CAT, didnt see any cracks, may have to rustle up a smoke test kit to rule out exhaust leaks
