Aw right, so first outing with the 4runner was a success. Went to Lake Arrowhead then to Big Bear. Tried to find Devil's Hole, but I think it was closed so I ran into another trail. 2N94 I believe. Kind of just saw it was a trail and hoped it wasn't bad. What I learned...
I underestimated the capabilities of a fully stock 4Runner.
I need a lift.
No idea what I was doing but common sense told me to avoid the big dips and big rocks.
I think I am going to like this off road thing.
My dogs aren't fond of cold, but my pit loves to eat snow.
Now the weather said snow, so I was happy. But weather didn't say slush. Needed chains or 4wd with winter tires to go up into Big Bear. I didn't have chains or winter tires but never slid or anything. Nasty road conditions, a few wrecks, some rock slides, but all in all it was fun. And after stopping in the information center, I found out I got a free National Park pass because Military.
