I subscribed to this thread as a reminder, and waited until nearly the last minute....
Just bought a set of 265/75-16 Duratracs (load range C) for my '97... they're about 5lbs lighter than the load range D 265/75 Yokohama Geolandars that I'm running now, so they should up the mileage a tad.
The POS Dorman LCA's that I installed have destroyed my two front tires. These Yoko's normally go 60K+ and the current set is trashed in just under 20K, so... this worked out great. Needed tires anyway, and what a deal! I'll sell the fresh rears to recoup some $$ and should make out like a bandit.

Got my 265/75/16 Cooper AT3 installed today. Nice change from the garbage my runner had on it when I bought it.

Drove 80 miles on I5 South today (Salem-Eugene), and I either got faulty tires, or they were incorrectly balanced. Anything above 60MPH, I usually cruise at 65-67 MPH, and it felt like the Runner was going to come apart. Lots of vibration/shaking on the steering wheel, as well as throughout the whole vehicle. I plan on taking it into Americas Tire and getting them rebalance to hopefully correct this issue. It rode like a dream prior to getting the wheels and tires installed on Saturday.

I'm looking at Cooper AT/3 for my 3rd gen. What is the difference in appearance between size 225/70R16 and size 235/70R16? I can't remember if they will be wider or what. There are no more higher sizes in the +1" category. The 225/70R16 are only $464 delivered plus an $80 Visa plus a $30 Visa. So $554! I plan to put them on some 5 star wheels I have. Is it worth buying their valve stems for $12 or get them locally?

The deal ends in 45 minutes so hopefully you placed your order. The 235's will be wider, but those will be some small tires for a 3rd gen. If you need the valve stems get them, but if your wheels already have them then don't worry about it.

I'm an idiot so it's a good thing I posted that. It was snowing (again) so I was too lazy to go out and check the tire size that is on there now. I just ordered four 265/75/16 Cooper Discoverer AT/3's. I got $25 off the order plus I'm eligible for a $30 and an $80 Visa card. I got new valves for $12 since I'm using new wheels. Soooo.....$551 delivered, before subtracting the Visa rebates. Thank you baskelh for the original post and SCRunner for not calling me a fool. Lucky I didn't order them last night. These are close to standard size cause my focus is on good mileage. I'd have been sorely disappointed with tiny tires. :biggrin2:

BTW, did you guys received shipping notices from Discount before the tires were shipped? I am really hoping my tires come this week as I'm supposed to go wheeling this weekend.

They usually ship from a warehouse close to you. Mine took 2 days from receipt of notice.

Beware: I received tires without an invoice attached. The clear packaging where it should have been was ripped open and there was nothing inside. There's a chance that someone between the distribution center and my delivery destination swiped it in order to get the manufacturer's rebate card for themselves.
I immediately jumped online when I noticed it and completed the rebate form with the online invoice I was emailed. I didn't do it earlier because the invoice I was emailed did not state which distribution center they were coming from, so I waited until delivery to get that information from the delivered invoice instead of calling...only to find potential theft.
