Ummm, you realize that thread was started back in 2006 , and with the exception of one post in 2013, no more comments were inserted after 2009, right?
ahhhhh look out it is a zombie thread.

Looks clean... Not sure how I feel about liquid to air coolers though... I think a front mount ATA would be better for performance

Sure looks photochoped.
And it doesn't look like the hood would close.
Who needs an air cleaner on a trail rig?

Liquid coolers are good for one to two passes before you must let them cool but they do cool off the intake charge better than an air to air. Problem with air to air once they get hot they become useless and take a very long time to cool, using ice helps.

Best option is run e85 which doesnt mind hot intake temps or meth/water injection.

You can easily mount a cooler for the water elsewhere. The appeal of water/air intercoolers is that it allows for a more compact solution and thus less turbo lag.

It's more expensive though as you basically need 2 radiators and a water pump.

THAT though does not look like any water/air intercooler that I've ever seen. Thats a regular air cooler in a pretty bad position.

Yes I agree, that is NOT a liquid cooler setup, its a horrible positioned air to air just like the subies do.

And yes they do help with turbo lag, but its very minimal. Test have shown that an intercooler and extra 15" of piping has less than second different in time it takes to fill the intercooler and piping.

My next turbo setup on my talon may not have an intercooler at all. Lots of people having success with just e85 running lots of boost intercoolerless.
