Axle Ratio from 1999 SR5 v6 auto 4wd

Just to close this out, I opened the diff and confirmed it was 43 ring teeth to 10 pinion teeth. 4.3 on my auto despite all the bad information out there stating mine would be 4.10 since it was non-locked v6 auto. So a direct axle swap from another runner is possible to keep the front diff ratio matching.

I have no clue.... I don't think so as most folks have no clue what their ratios are . They end up doing the tire spin test (which works too!)

Well, based on my axle code on the door sticker, and a spin test, my 99 SR5 2WD Sport Auto has 4.10 rear gears

I have no clue.... I don't think so as most folks have no clue what their ratios are . They end up doing the tire spin test (which works too!)

Well, based on my axle code on the door sticker, and a spin test to verify, my 99 SR5 2WD Sport Auto has 4.10 rear gears.

Unless it was modified after it left the factory it should be easy info to get if one were so inclined

Yah, they say it's common to have 4.10 for non-locked Auto v6 3rd gens so I can see that. I just didn't see ANYBODY posting they had a 4.30 and most folks assumed they were 4.10 so they didn't bother trying to do a full axle swap since the front's wouldn't match. I'm hoping this thread will help someone in the future if they were thinking about doing the same thing.
