I'm posting this to help out a friend and if anyone has any objections please let me know. I have no affiliations to B.A.M.F other than being a customer. I have seen these things in person and they are beefy.

Specs
CNC cut 1/4" mild steel available in 3/16 for a lower cost
Has castor bolt protection
the skid is the most protected LCA skid on the market. It comes up all the way up the LCA blocking tree roots and other things from hitting your CVs.

The price will be set at $145.00 + shipping for 1/4" and $130.00 for 3/16th" plate.
I'm seeing if they will fit in a large flat rate box and if so the shipping will be $15.00 to the lower 48 and Hawaii. powder coating is available for $30.00 NOTE shipping willnot be a flat rate on powder coated skids due to the padding needed to protect the finish they will be shipped FedEx.


GB INFO
The GB will be 20% off so 1/4" skids will be $135.64 shipped Tax is added for CA orders. I would like to keep this GB at all 1/4" skids but if you really want to we can do the 3/16th as well.


Also if we get to 50 orders two people will get their skids FREE!! Only 7 people away from this deal.

Also we have also offered that if 100 skids are ordered they will all be powder coated for FREE!!!!

I talked to Jerry and he said all skids would be shipped out within 2 weeks of the group buy ending. Also the $135 price is on and 2 people should be getting free skids.
 
^Sweet! If you guys end up ordering make a post on here so we can keep track. You won't regret buying a BAMF product.

I dont see this option on the order page, all I see is powder coat or bare steel. By the way, is powder coating pretty easy to do on your own or is it worth $30?

The 3/16th option has been removed due to lack of interest. And hi guys Robert said he had posted a thread over here so I thought Id join so you guys can PM me.
 
i've seen these skids in person and they are very beefy, deff a must have if you dont want to dent your control arms.

I think you're getting powder coating mixed up with spray painting, the two are not the same, and powder coating is much more complicated, and I'd assume very expensive equipment is needed to complete the powder coating process.

On topic - Hopefully I will be ordering my set tomorrow night
 
technically you can use an a regular old kitchen oven for powder coating, but the sandblasting and spraying will have to be done with special equipment.

You can do it yourself even without a oven I don't recommend it but it can be done. (All you need is the part to be around 400 for 20 to 25min NOT THE OVEN it can be achieved on small parts without a oven if done right) . It is a lot more labor intensive then painting.

To powder coat you need a perfectly clean part not even finger print can be on the part before the part is shot with powder. Media/Sand blasting gets most of this off.

The steps
1. pressure wash the part to remove oils and dirt
2. Media or Sand blast to remove Paint, rust and and any coating left by the manufacturing process.
3. Pre bake the part to 400* for 25min (this step is optional on steel but is a must on anything aluminum)
4. shoot the part with a primer and bake at 400* for about 20min.
5. shoot the part with a base coat and bake at 400 for about 20min
6. Optional clear coat step if desired. Same as 4 and 5

And that is why powder coating is so expensive

Is there anyway to get exempted from that tax charge? I live in Montana and font have sales tax when usually purchasing online... Just a question?!

Its not sales tax its paypal fees as you can see its 2.9% paypal just labels it as tax.
