Back in a 4Runner again

I bought a 1997 SR5 5 Speed manual with rear diff lock and 218k miles timing belt was done at 179k miles it is in amazing condition. It is nice to be back in a 4runner, I am currently driving a 2011 Mitsubishi Evo I got this for my wheeling/daily driver rig. I have owned a 2004 SR5 a 2003 Limited and a 2010 Trail so not new to 4runners but new to the 3rd Gen

I would say for the year and miles it was above average, here are some pics of my past 4runner's for viewing pleasure. I have lots of plans for this one this summer. And a pic of my Evo just cause lol

Because I bought an Evo, This 4runner is an addition to my Evo, yes Rocky5000100 Evo's are amazing I absolutely love it not a single regret!

Congrats and welcome to the best sub-forum on this site. Have any plans for the new one? I just don't know how you could give up that 5th gen. That one was a dream 4runner for me.

If you have ever driven an Evo you would understand, The 5th Gen was a pretty amazing machine but I would rather wheel something alittle less expensive. My plans include Old Man Emu lift, 285/75/16 duratracs, savage sliders, some kind of front bumper, thule rack to carry my kayaks

Define downgrade...! I dont see a downgrade. I see a man of impecable taste balancing his needs with his wants... So again.. Define downgrade. I'll happily define it with my 1st gen's tire on your hood while the other 3 are firmly planted on the ground.. Its about taste.. Clearly your both in the right place but I must put you back in line SIR! (Currently pulling out white glove to slap you with) lmao! Anyway, nice rides!

I didn't really see a downgrade either thats why I did it. I really did like that 5th Gen Trail though.
