Back in the game.

So after selling my 99 4runner (Highlander) for a minivan 13 years ago (totally regretted it). I am finally back into a 4runner. This 4runner is actually for my son when he turns 16, but between now and then we can do little projects together. This is a 03 Limited V8, leather, JBL. Paint is a little rough but that's ok.

It does need some basic maintenance (TB service, Brake job, spark plugs, fluids etc) stuff that I would normally do when buying a used car, so that is where we will start and work on it together.

Then we can do some fun mods like swapping out the stereo, changing bulbs to LED and maybe some Projector headlights. This forum has been a wealth of information, so thanks to everyone who posts. Hopefully, we can contribute in some way.

Thats funny. Most of my co-workers that have previously owned a 4runner and went on to something else all regretted the decision! Nice looking ride and a good upgrade with the 4.7!

Yea, I knew the moment the buyer drove off in my old rig that I was going to regret it, but at the time it made sense and we need a bigger vehicle with a new addition to the family. All in all, the minivan has proved its worth in spades. Hands down the most useful vehicle we've owned.

On that 4.7 v8, after reading about that million mile Tundra, I was sold on the 2UZ-FE engine.
