Ok guys I have been so busy with my business I have only been moderating and lurking on the site.

I am proud to announce I have all the parts I need for my newest creation

1984 4Runner SR5 manual
1985 4Runner SR5 manual
Bought these for 1,000$

1996 4Runner limited automatic with locker. Bad frame mint body bought for 500$

2001 VW tdi turbo automatic. Runs great bought for $1,200

So here is the build plan for the next 2-3 months. I took January off to bust this project in the gonads.

The 1984 has the amazing interior SR5 pattern but the body is shot. So this will be my donor frame.

The 1985 will get the interior of the of the 84 and the 3.4L v6 engine. But will remain mostly clean stock.

Now the donor frame 84 will get the VW diesel and body from the 96 this will be caged inside and out with winch bumpers and full expedition gear. 36" tires 5.29 Toyota e locker rear and arb front maybe a electric front of i want to match.

This will be a feat of engineering as I am trying to keep the auto transmission. It will require a trans controller and vw ecu harness.

I will post a build thread when I start this weekend but if anyone has any programming experience with transmission controllers please let me know.

I will have a ton of spare parts and will be posting the left overs for you guys first.

Happy swapping boys I may be bald at the end of this.....

We are local and may be interested in some parts.

I have a very large parts network if you ever need something just let me know!
I also have a full machine shop and heated facility too if you need help with a mod or repair.

You have some big balls to pull, not one, not two, but THREE projects off in 30 days! I sure hope it goes well for ya, having three vehicles all apart and struned all over the shop is something I don't envy! Hell, I can barely contain my one vehicle project and its only a motor rebuild in my 3,000 square foot shop!

Hope you post lots of photos of the tdi swap, I would LOVE to have a diesel in my truck some day!!!

Good luck on the build and keep us posted on how it goes!!!:thumb3:
