Will call pickup
I got my "come pick it up from will call" email.
Although I'm very excited, does anyone know what state the rack comes in?
Is it in a bag, or in a box? How would you guys bring it home? I don't want a rush install so I'm not doing it in the parking lot.
Would you guys strap to the top or shove it inside and let it hang out the back (secured) with a red flag and the hatch strapped down?

I just will call'd mine yesterday.
It is boxed up nicely in a single box. It will not fit in the rear cargo, you'll have to strap it up top.
My recommendation is to just install it in their lot. They have tools for you and Ruben helped me get the rack up top. Class act team out there.
I'll get pics up later today when I get some nice shots.

I just missed you I did a pickup at ~1400.
It was in a box, I got the Baja Spy rack for the Gen 5 which I think is on the large side.
I slid that badboy in with the rear seats folded down.
Rachet strapped the box forward using the folded rear seat and rachet strapped the hatch down to the rear recovery hook.
Made it home 40 miles away with the warning light beeping due to the hatch being open.
Came home to discover that the passenger side outer rail was scratched by the box staples every 6-8" because they didn't put a piece of Styrofoam on both sides.
Thanks for the advice, I was able to save some cash that will go toward my illumination setup.

I sure hope you contact Baja Rack about this, that is unacceptable. You shouldn't have to pay for re-powdercoating the rack. Granted you could touch it up, but it won't look right.

Install part 1. It's secured on there. I know the pictures suck.
After some review and input from my neighbor a ex JDM ricer now turned pro quad-copter racer (Arknabbit), he gave me some great ideas.
I wasn't aware that the rack sit higher and the front brackets were different from the ones showed on the website.
The front brackets were installed differently by double sided sticky taped the front brackets to the roof instead of the unsecured rain moulding.
This allows for a lower profile and it's stuck on pretty good.
Light bars galore were ordered: front, sides and rear, bussman box. Planing to mount single rows side and rear between the rack and roof to make a lumen sandwich.
I need to figure out how i'm gonna run the wires for the lights and the actuator.
I may drill into the rack tubes to conceal most of the wiring and seal the drilled holes with black silicone to make it appear super clean.
