BajaRack Utility Rack Install

10 weeks ago I ordered the BajaRack Utility Rack from Ok4wd because of their free shipping.
It arrived at the shipping depot this Thursday. It was well packaged with no damage.
I installed it today in about an hour.
Positives:
Light weight. Only 38lbs
Hardware is stainless
Low-profile
Strong- I can shake the vehicle w/ it. I can stand on it also
Negatives:
Made in Mexico
Powdercoat quality is questionable
One of the brackets wasn't drilled properly and I had to enlarge the hole.

I have only seen one other 3rd gen with this rack that wasn't a BajaRack display truck.
I plan on mounting 4 PIAA LP550s, hi-lift, awning, and my lightweight camping items up there.

I had my hi-lift mounted on my Rola before I got my rear bumper. I have a set of hi-lift 1-2" tube mounts if you decide to go that route for mounting. I've been looking for a way to re-purpose them but haven't found any yet. lol

I had one, super easy to mount. I then sold it and went full length with a Frontrunner Outfitters.

It stayed probably four months on top of my rig, didn't have any issue, but I was in CA so the weather wasn't harsh!

Thanks, I see people with the standard and full length 5" height racks all the time. This is the only other flat rack I've seen that wasn't a demo/display truck for BajaRack

I've been considering this, is the front fairing removable though? (Obviously a cut off wheel can remove anything) But is it bolted together/bolted on?

It is bolt-on.
I removed it last night to install the GS power clamps for my PIAA LP550s

been pretty happy with mine. install took me about 20 mins by myself start to finish.

did you follow the instructions for the 6 brackets? keep in mind there are 2 that are marked to be in the center position if you do not put them there they will create this issue.

Yeah, the middle brackets are shorter to account for the apex of the roof curve-and are in the middle.
Only one back bracket was drilled wrong where it wouldn't set in the pocket of the oem roof track. Not a big deal, just a little annoying.
How is your powdercoat holding up?

my powdercoating has been fine i have had mine since april.

Crappy night picture, but I mounted my Power GS Clamp Mounts and PIAA LP550s. I still have to do the wiring in the cold unfortunately.

Man, I am typically not a fan of roof racks....But this one, I REALLY like! I love the simplicity of it and the fact that its low profile and flat with the wind fairing. 6 bills though? That would be tough to justify unless its use is required for myself personally.
