So got the alignment done today after the lift and all. Was done at Toyota dealership and they told me they couldn't get it to factory spec due to the aftermarket lift, but i'm in the "green" now. Still noticing a grinding noise/feel when i let go the gas pedal. but i donno if this is alignment related, just making the assumption because after the lift i noticed it.

so how good am I? haha

<a href="http://s43.photobucket.com/albums/e358/tran61021/?action=view&current=Alingment.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e358/tran61021/Alingment.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Don't listen to that "we're unable to blah blah blah due to the aftermarket parts blah blah" crap. What about those lifts they put on at the dealer made from aftermarket parts? They're just upset when you do your own work...

HOw much did the alignment cost u dude? im gonna need another one when i get my 35s bc im still pulling to the right since i tired to save money and went to a cheap shop that works on commercial vehicles.

Had a coupon and i think it was $70 bucks with tax and all.

Now im he next one in line for the LC conversion!!!, tim u wanna see if micah can do it this weekend? and i need those front metal coil spacers if we do the conversion this weekend!

After almost 2 weeks my lift has completely settled. I had HUGE rake at first but the 7 wraps now give it a nice stance

next to a stocker...well hes not really a stocker..but stock heighter...or..more of a sagger i guess

Truck looks great with the lift and with the chrome gone. Wish I could find some little trails like that around here, looks nice and 2wd friendly.

Looks good man.

When you did your wheels, did you strip the old paint off first? If so, how? Mine are peeling pretty bad and will be hopefully painting both sets of them this summer. I like the color you used.

There was no paint on it when i started. I did scrub down the top clear coat and stripped the gloss off with sandpaper and red 3M scrubber. However I had plenty of time to do mine because i bought these rims off CL. I took my time over a span of a week and did it right since i did not have to run the tires/rims

Isn't there factory paint on it? I am hoping to not have to hand sand all the clear coat and paint away, or pay for sandblasting. But I also want to avoid having the cracked paint lines show through if I weren't to strip all the paint off.
