Thanks for adding the pic. I was going to search for one, but didn't have the time.

I did not seal anything with silicone. I just put the OEM rubber boot back on, and that pretty much covered all the openings in the back of the light housing.

No problem, figured it would help others visualize what you were explaining. Interesting about just using the rubber boot. I might see what it looks like when I'm done and add silicone as needed. Thanks for the help!

One last quesion, what type of spray paint did you use?

With the Morimoto Mini's there shouldn't be any need for silicone. The factory boot should suffice as keeping the lights sealed, as Bandit said. FWIW I like to run my high beam trigger wires out the bottom of the headlight to keep the wiring low once installed. I just drill a tiny hole in the housing, slide the wires through and pin the connector later. Then a dab of silicone in the hole to seal it up. Or do it exactly as Bandit did.... works great too!

I used Rustoleum high temp engine paint, semi-gloss black. Not sure if high-temp is necessary, but I figured it couldn't hurt.

Thanks, I couldn't afford a lot of the things that I wanted to do either (think 2 kids in college). So I decided to start making my own parts, because it was much cheaper (and more fun). Things like bumpers, skidplates, snorkel,etc.

I'm with you man. That's why I'm in the process of designing my own front bumper as well. Speaking of which, your front armor is awesome! Now I definitely need to spend time lurking on your build. Honestly, I've never worked with metal besides basic cutting/grinding/bending, but I have worked with wood for several years, so I'm hoping some of the skill set will transfer. I'm lucky enough to have a friend with knowledge and access to the necessary tools.

They turned out great. I've now decided to do this before getting led bars, as they are about the same money.

One question: do you have any problems with the retrofit insert bouncing on rough washboard roads, etc? In the comment section, I noticed one person complaining that they couldn't tighten everything down enough to keep the bouncing down. Are the areas that locate and lock the retrofit assembly in the OEM housing metal or plastic?

I haven't had any problems with vibrations or movement of any kind. The OEM housings are plastic, but I was able to get the projectors tight with the metal lock nuts that came with them.
