*UPDATE*
I've been fairly busy this weekend, but I got the new alternator put in Friday and everything is working perfectly and smoothly again.
I did end up going with a lifetime alternator from Napa (Reman from BBB industries), this was the best option in terms of price and availability for me. I think in the future I am going to track down a OEM Denso either via the junkyard or eBay and get it rebuilt for when the inevitable happens again.
Unfortunately my multimeter died on me, so I didn't get a chance to check all the voltages after the install of the new one yet, should be able to get around that in the next day or so. But as it stands the truck is running again.
