BBQ/Smoking Meat

Wow - perfectly even color all the way through!

What's your method? :hungry:

I rub it with EV olive oil then rub it with cracked black pepper, granulated garlic, rosemary, kosher salt, five spice powder, and granulated ginger.

It takes about 3-4 hours at 300 degrees on my Traeger and I usually use a mix of alder, hickory, and mesquite.

I cook it until 130 degrees and use my trusty iGrill.

How do you like the igrill? I've been looking for something wireless to use

I love it.......it comes with 2 probes that you can run at the same time. You can also set the desired temp (or preset temp) on the phone app and it will tell you when your temp has been reached. Awesome!

Tonight, something simple yet always good... thick cut pork chops!

You are my hero !!!!!

haha, tell my wife that. patio was a 3 year project. I built that 100% by myself using only hand tools and a john deere mower with a cart to bring everything back. even taught myself to TIG weld in making the smoker. Never again. but fun nonetheless.

Birthday Party

Last night was my first attempt at white chicken chili. Sorry for the graininess of the chili photo as it was quite dark as it was finishing up. Anyway, I used multiple varieties of peppers so it wasn't really "white", but it was fantastic. Also got to enjoy a nice local brew while waiting... a darker farmhouse ale made with local honey. Very delicious!
