Smoked a 10 pound brisket this weekend in my egg. Used the recipe from the BGE app and smoked at 225 for almost 15 hours until internal temp reached 190. I think it's the third brisket I've smoked, but the first one I smoked overnight. Turned out amazing, maybe the best one yet. Had my egg for about a year and a half and am finally starting to feel comfortable with it. Sorry, no pics of it opened up.
This site did some weird shit a few months ago that made all the pictures I host on my own site disappear. This site and no other. I guess the only way you can see them is if I attach them which is a bigger PITA since they are already hosted on my site! OK rant over.
I smoked a 14LB brisket overnight on the pellet smoker. It came out pretty damn good.
During the inland hurricane that devastated my city in August, both of my Big Green Egg tables were toppled in the 140+ mph winds. Obviously the results to the ceramics was bad. I am getting close to settling insurance claim on home and property so have started looking at replacement grills. Probably sacrilege but I am seriously considering going to a pellet grill for ease of use. I have been looking at MAK, Cook shack and Memphis. All stainless is a must. I understand regarding lesser smoke from the pellet poopers but am not one that particularly appreciates over smoked taste so think it will work for me. I do not cook pizza due to diet constrictions and have a Weber Genesis if searing is needed. Has anyone here been using one of these brands and can give me a 411?
