best color?

My mom has a 2003 Silver 4Runner
I have a 2003 Black 4Runner.


Which color is better?
1) Black (only when its CLEAN)
2) Galactic Grey (kind of in the middle)
3) Titanium Silver (too common of a color but still nice)

i saw a salsa red 4th gen. going down the road the other day and it had the plastic grey cladding. i thought the grey cladding was on the earlier 2003's and the salsa red is only available since this year?

The early 2003 models were available in a color called Impulse Red Pearl. It's a VERY rare color for the 4th gens along with Imperial Jade Mica (dark green). They were discontinued around April 2003 when Toyota started adding the painted cladding on SR5's and Sport Editions.

I gotta go with black. I would have bought the black one, but my '01 was black and what a pain in the ass it was to keep clean. When they're clean they look great. (lasts about 20min though)

It's between two colors: silver or black

too many people have the silver so it loses its uniqueness.

Black with chrome roof racks and step rail is awesome but dirt shows to easy.

I have a black with the silver front bumper and rear bumper trim. I believe it is only offered with a sport or limited package. I know the limiteds have them.. but I think i've seen the sports with it too.

wow i am surprised regular old silver beat out the galactic grey... i love the little blue sparkles in the galactic grey, plus you get a great darkish color but doesnt show dirt. I wanted the black and got the grey, but couldnt be happier now.
(well i guess id be happier with a limited galactic grey)

Hey Pirate VI, I'd have to second that notion for the color Galactia Mica Grey. The color throws off a good shine when clean, looks great (purplish) under amber night street lightning, and gives off a bluish hue in the bright sunlight depending on the way the light bends off the truck. When the salsa red pearl first came out; I was head over heels for it but my gray truck has grown on me.

actually i voted for the white even though i have titanium, i like the way the white looks the best but for some reason not on my own truck, i'm kinda weird like that...

I really like galactic grey, but I find in some lights it almost looks purple. If I were to buy another one right now I'd probably do either Titanium Silver or Salsa Red.

Someone should add that new shadow grey color to the poll. Yes it will be an underdog, being added late, but it is a pretty sweet color and definitely worthy of the list. While we are at it, the other new colors should be added too. Isn't there some nautical blue and another one? I just realized there is a limit to how many items there are on a poll so that might be a limiting factor.

I have the salsa red metallic and love it. My dream T4R is a silver metallic sport. I have always noticed other T4R on the road and never saw this red one like mine until I bought it. I have seen like 3 or 4 in my area but none look as good as mine!

We ordered Titanium Silver (TiAg) because the wife wanted one for so long but later decided Galactic Gray was a better color but we couldn't change it. Oh well, life goes on!

Off road color

Well according to these results of the poll it looks like you guys don't off road very much. I have had 6 jeeps and bought my first 4runner tonight actually - with a partially dead battery. Anyway.. white is simply the best color for an off road vehicle - period. I just sold my Jeep YJ for this white 4runner and the reason is...
Bushes and trees that extend into your path and scrape or rub against your vehicle. With white you cannot see the scratches.. A friend of mine had a 30 year old CJ and from 15 feet it just looked white - but when you got up close there was not one area tthat a tree or bush had not touched. Try that on your black and titanium 4runners.. if it is a city hopper my post is useless - if you are truly off roading it.. buy white.

(I know I only have 12 posts here - I have had over 300 on the jeep forum.. but now I am enjoying my 4runner and sharing with you)

Some of us like to show off our scratches! My rig is a 2006 Nautical Blue Metallic and personally I am looking fwd to tearing it up. My dark green Tundra looked like one of my old beat up Marine Corps humvees when I sold it!
