Best Diagnostic Package?

I am looking to purchase a good OBDII (OBD2) tool for a reasonable price ($150 or less).

I don't want anything that is phone based (i.e. iPhone or Android) and I would prefer something that can hook up to a PC to get updates and/or give additional information.

There are all kinds of products out there from ScanGuage to CarMD to Innova and Actron but I don't know what is the best one out there.

Also I want something that is portable so I can use it on multiple cars.

What do you guys use? What do you recommend? What seems to have the most features for the least amount of money?

Thanks!

I would recommend a ScanGuage II. I have one guage and I just mounted a wire for each vehicle. With velcro mounts for the guage on the top of each steering column, I just stick it and hook it up, and use it for all three.

I have a CarMD and i really like it. Works well and does provide you with a LOT of information about your vehicle.

I dont know about the other devices, but CarMD has worked flawlessly for me. Very happy with my purchase!

Good luck to you!
