Best looking rim on 3rd gen

I'm thinking of painting my 5 star stockers gold to match the trim on the bottom of my ride. I got my inspiration from ALBPM and his gold rims. I think that is a superbly clean look but can be risky if you dont get it the exact right color.

IMHO, the Ivan Stewart TRD wheels are simply THE VERY BEST
Who makes that front bumper?

I think the 16" split 3 spoke rims look great on my 1996 4Runner. I have seen a lot of others that I don't like and I don't like the black rim and black wall tire combination. The paint on the center hub covers keeps puckering and I have to sand and repaint them every year or so, and I have to be sure to rinse any salt off of them if I have been out on the beach. Salt corrodes aluminium in a hurry and it's better to have a steel rim on your spare if you keep it up under.

I like my FZJ80 (92-97) LandCruiser rims. Not only are they lightweight, they are built like brick sh*t houses... and pretty cool looking.

I love these wheels. I have a set sitting in my house right now that I was trying to sell to get something with way less backspacing. But to my surprise no one was interested in buying them, so I just got some 1.5 wheel spacers. These are going on my truck this weekend.
There was a thread in the 3rd gen section just last week where most of the posts were saying that these didnt look good on our 3rd gens. I was thinking, are these guys for real?? They look awesome on your truck and theyre gonna look awesome on mine too

The 3 spokes can look pretty good, if you paint them a custom color....

Ya I like the 3 spokes too. I love your procomps though. I would go with aluminum rather than chrome, but still those are one of my favorite wheels. Honestly they look good on any truck

As far as OEM wheels go, 5-Stars or FZJ80 LC Wheels are the way to go... I've owned them both and I like them equally for appearance, but the LC wheels have better specs. If the LC wheels had better caliper clearance I might be running them on both my 4Runners.
As far as aftermarket wheels go, I think the Pro-Comp 8069 (black) and 1069 (polished) offer the best combination of specs, caliper clearance, and value of any aftermarket wheel.

Running 4th gen sport wheels on my truck right now;
I really like the 4th gens because of their offset. Im running 1" spacers, but as you can see my tires do not stick out past the flares.
My favorite wheels for the 3rd gen are the stock five stars, 17" tundra wheels, 4th gen sports and the TRD Anthracite FJ's (good luck finding a set of these).
